How does the letter exchange program work?

It's very easy! Your kids will 

  • Reply to 3 letters from their French pen pal per school year in English (+ French if they can) - around November, February and May
  • Decorate the letter and add drawings, photos etc.

You will then

  • Scan it and send a PDF letter (not a photo of it please, if possible) by email to your pen pal. You will have to copy me on.
Otherwise, it is also possible to exchange snail mail letters, if your pen pals are okay too. In that case, you will just need to send me a photo of each letter by email.

Learn French with Music: Sous le Ciel de Paris, Edith Piaf

Sous le ciel de Paris This week, in our French class for adults , we will study this emblematic song, by Edith Piaf.  Learning a new language also means traveling to the heart of a new culture. This song will transport you to an idyllic Paris. The French language is renowned for its complexity. But we can make learning it exciting by exploring vocabulary and grammar through popular songs. During our French class, we have studied the verbs "être" (to be) and "avoir" (to have) in French . So, I have asked my students to locate these verbs in the lyrics of the song.To help them, I had previously bolded and colored all the verbs in red. We have also studied the definite and indefinite articles in French.
